Gneiskopf Peak

Gneiskopf Peak () is a peak (2,930 metres or 9,610 feet) rising 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Mount Neustruyev at the southern end of Südliche Petermann Range, in the Wohlthat Mountains of Queen Maud Land.

Discovery and naming

Gneiskopf Peak was discovered and given the descriptive name Gneiskopf (gneiss peak) by the Third German Antarctic Expedition (1938-1939), led by Capt. Alfred Ritscher.[1]
